The Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation is seeking Electrical Engineers with a thorough knowledge of fire safe shutdown analysis or engineers with a background in fire protection.

You will help to ensure public health and safety by reviewing and evaluating nuclear power plant fire safe shutdown circuit analysis and plant fire protection programs. This will involve the review of changes to nuclear power plant fire protection programs based on emerging technologies and operating experience at nuclear power plants. Further, you will review fire safe shutdown circuit analysis and fire protection programs and provide technical expertise to onsite NRC inspectors.

In order to qualify for this position, candidates must have specialized experience that demonstrates a knowledge of the theories, principals, and practices of fire protection engineering or electrical engineering and their application to nuclear facilities as evidenced by a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
